Nothing beats receiving unexpected packages in the mail.  Last month, I was very pleasantly surprised to find a thick envelope addressed to me, from my friend, Lina. Inside?  A lovely card, and a couple of gifts, including my favourite tea! Amazingly, it's been nearly four years since I studied abroad for a year in Sweden.
