Whenever I see anything called Key Lime, I smile and am taken back to Christmas of 1973. You see, every year as we were growing up my family went to Florida for 10 days during the holiday season. My mom's two sisters and their families had double wide trailers in Fort Meyers and we would all get together to go fishing at the Everglades, Sanibel Island and Lake Okeechobee. It was such a great time. Well, in 1973 my sister and I were allowed to stay home, she was 21 and I was 17. We promised NOT to take the car out or let anyone in the house. We got bored after the first day and raided the pantry for something to make. We found some Key Lime pudding that had probably been there since the 50's! We made a pie, and after 30 minutes it was still soup. We would eat a piece, then throw it back into the oven for another half hour. That dang pie was gone and never got thicker than green soup!
