Usually for Taco Tuesday at our house I make traditional beef tacos or my Baked Chicken Fajitas. However, this week I decided to try something a little bit different -- shrimp tacos. While the shrimp were baking, I mixed up the Boom Boom Sauce. Have you ever heard of Boom Boom Sauce? I hadn't...until this week. My friend, Angelina, had some leftover from one of her favorite sandwich shops. As soon as I tried it, I knew it would go perfectly with this recipe. It took a little bit of trial and error to get the ingredients just right, but I believe I managed to make a pretty awesome copycat sauce. It's a little sweet, a little garlicky and packs a nice boom! Not too much, though. Just a little zip to wake up your taste buds. The best part was these shrimp tacos were ready to eat in under 20 minutes! Just 20 minutes. There was so much flavor and texture in these tacos. We couldn't get enough of them! In fact, as I'm writing this blog post, I can't stop thinking about them. I'm going to have to make them again VERY soon.
