Shakshouka (Arabic: شكشوكة‎; Hebrew: שקשוקה‎) (also shakshuka) is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chilli peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin. It is believed to have a Tunisian origin.
