Even though banana liquor is an ingredient, it cooks out and you don't need to worry about being tipsy or whether you can give it to your kids. The banana liquor just gives it a nice flavor. You don't have to brown the butter and can simply melt it but for best results, the extra step is worth it. If you don't have almond flour on hand you can simply substitute and use extra all purpose flour.
