Introduction: The legend goes that this great dessert has been discovered by a French cook who did not leave the cake to cook long enough in the oven. When cutting it, he realized that the interior was like a volcano lava hence the name of the cake. Lava Cake is one of those mysterious desserts you may see on fancy restaurants menus. Unless you try making it, you will not realize how easy and fast it can be prepared. My son decided last night after indulging in a hurry two of those cakes that this is the top favorite dessert in my portfolio.
