I absolutely LOVE easy comfort food. When I was a young boy my father used to make something he called Slumgullian. It was a little bit of everything all in one pot. Some might call it a goulash. While looking through an old cookbook I found something that was real close and instantly took me back to father and my childhood.. If you are going outdoors with a group of scouts or just as a family, this is a great one pot dinner. The fun thing is that you can add to or take-away things you either like or don't like. What ever you decide to use, your family will love it!
