I love cooking with sweet potatoes because they take on sweet and savory flavors so well, even in the same dish! We've never really been the family that does the sweet potato/marshmallow/pecan concoction- in fact we are mostly mashed potato people- but we always have some sort of sweet potato representation at our Thanksgiving table.
